About
The Site
Blog.eeg3.net is the personal blog of Earl Gay III (eeg3) and is primarily focused on virtualization, storage, and other fun technologies that I get to play with on a frequent basis. It was created as a place for me to toss up posts about issues I ran into in hopes that others could find fixes to things I couldn’t find easily through a quick search at the time.
What do I do?
I am a Senior IT Engineer and member of the Virtual Desktop Engineering team for a large not-for-profit financial company.
Credentials
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have also obtained the following certifications:
- VMware Certified Professional 5 – Datacenter Virtualization (VCP)
- VMware Certified Professional 5 – Desktop Virtualization (VCP-DT)
- VMware Certified Associate 4 – Desktop Virtualization (VCA-DT)
- Citrix Certified Administrator for XenDesktop (CCA XenDesktop)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- BSD Certified Associate (BSDA)
Additionally, I was awarded the VMware vExpert title for 2012.
